Background:  Hawk first lived with a woman and her two children in Maryland. When he was nine months old, he came to live with Tudy in Houston, Texas.  He was started in Search and Rescue and she continued his training. When he was two years old, he moved to Ravenna, Ohio with Tudy and Storm.

Activities/Jobs:

Search and Rescue  Hawk is a Cadaver Search Dog. He searches on land and is training to do Water Search.

Rally Competition  Hawk trained and competed in Rally. Rally is a competition in which the handler and dog go from station to station. At each station, there are directions indicating what the team should do. Examples are: Turn left or right; sit or down; make a left or right circle; weave in and out of cones; etc. It takes three qualifying scores (70 or better out of 100) to get a title. Hawk's scores were 96, 98 and 96.

Agility Competition

In agility competion, the dog has obstacles they must manuever correctly. The run is also timed. Hawk is still in training and has not competed yet. Examples of obstacles: jumps; teeter-totter; A-frame; tunnels; dog walk; etc.
